Every piece that comes out of our workshop meets the highest quality standards. This is because we work with the finest VS and VVS diamonds to create our timeless designs.
Diamonds are naturally created deep within the earth as a result of intense heat and extreme pressure. This process can cause variations in the clarity of the stone as traces of minerals (inclusions) can be seen inside the stone. While only visible under a microscope these inclusions and blemishes change the way light is reflected and refracted and this is what is known as clarity. The higher the clarity, the more expensive the stone. The diamond clarity scale contains eleven grades of clarity, FL (flawless) being the highest and I1,I2, and I3 (included) the lowest.
According to GIA, these are the characteristics of each grade
Flawless (FL): No inclusions or blemishes are visible to a skilled grader using 10× magnification.
Very Slightly Included (VS1 and VS2): Inclusions are minor and range from difficult to somewhat easy for a skilled grader to see under 10x magnification.
Very, Very Slightly Included (VVS1 and VVS2): Inclusions are difficult for a skilled grader to see under 10× magnification.
Very Slightly Included (VS1 and VS2): Inclusions are minor and range from difficult to somewhat easy for a skilled grader to see under 10x magnification.
Slightly Included (SI1 and SI2): Inclusions are noticeable to a skilled grader under 10x magnification.
Included (I1, I2, and I3): Inclusions are obvious under 10× magnification and may affect transparency and brilliance.
Authenticity certificate
Every diamond used in the creation of our jewellery comes with an authenticity certificate in addition to an independent gemologist certificate issued by IDT Gemological Laboratories Worldwide. These certificates can be used to prove the authenticity of your jewellery for the lifetime guarantee.
The gemologist certificate will provide information on the 4Cs of your diamond: clarity, colour, cut, and carat weight. The document will also contain an original laboratory report that states amongst other things:
